7:20 help homeless people and unfortunately a
7:22 large a large percentage of those were
7:25 actually from africa
7:27 who got caught going the back way so
7:30 they can't claim they can't do anything
7:32 so they sleep on the street they sleep
7:34 in shopping centers sometimes graveyards
7:37 and they have no food sometimes they're
7:39 pulled into selling drugs and then they
7:42 end up going into prison and then
7:43 getting deported anyway or ending up in
7:45 detention centers
7:47 life is not good um for them i've even
7:49 been to places where there have been
7:51 like 10 people 10 people from grambia
7:55 including two people from senegal and
7:57 living in one small room
8:00 in england
8:01 and you know all sharing buying rice and
8:04 you know trying to survive it's not a
8:06 nice
8:07 it's not a nice life for them and then
8:09 you have the brain drain once the uh at
8:12 what i call educated africans
8:14 uh the ones that leave get an education
8:16 and they go to england thinking that
8:17 they're gonna get a much better life and
8:19 then they get trapped in what i call the
8:22 tax trap the tax trap is because people
8:24 don't realize we have to pay tax even to
8:27 watch television we have to pay a tv
8:29 licence we have to pay a council tax as
8:32 well as paying our car tax we then have
8:34 to pay congestion charge as well as
8:36 congestion charge transport is the most
8:39 expensive
8:40 that you have in england as well as tax
8:42 on your on a levy on your fuel um as
8:45 well as v80 f v80 added extra tax yeah
8:48 value added tax on what you buy every
8:51 purchase that you buy you also have um
8:54 capital gains tax you also have your
8:56 national insurance contributions and you
8:59 also have so many taxes that it will
9:00 take up the whole of this interview so
9:02 basically what i'm trying to say is it's
9:04 a tax trap and that's why so many
9:06 africans you never see them come back so
9:07 they don't want to come back they can't
9:09 they can't afford to come they can't
9:11 even afford to play fair back some
9:13 africans in fact some europeans can't
9:15 even afford to come to africa
9:17 because they don't own their own homes
9:19 they get caught in council homes so they
9:21 get caught in the in the benefit trap
9:23 and and this is what happens and
9:25 sometimes although africans might come
9:27 with the best intentions they also get
9:29 caught in the trap so the brain drain

10:44 they're discriminated at work so they
10:46 lose their jobs these high paid jobs
10:48 that they might get they're not in them
10:49 for long because you're first in first
10:52 out
10:53 and this happens because unfortunately
10:55 unconscious and conscious bias that
10:57 happens within recruitment in england is
11:00 alive and real
11:01 it is true i have even as a person as an
11:04 african person the way i describe myself
11:07 how to sue my own employer in england
11:09 and i was born there so can you imagine
11:12 if i don't have an accent and i'm born
11:14 there and i've had to go through that
11:16 and i've had to go through terrible
11:17 discrimination with both of my children
11:20 terrible discrimination that was even on
11:21 the news and highlighted in the press
11:24 with my youngest son and my eldest son
11:27 which became international news from fox
11:29 news all the way to itn and itv at the
11:32 end of the day what i'm saying to them
11:34 is just be aware
11:36 right of what you're doing because your
11:38 enemy is not your friend
11:40 they're only there to take out the best
11:42 from you look at these young ghanaian
11:44 boys that you know invented a fuel from

The above "interview" video from Gambia is online at YouTube for over 5 years now. The consequences of such insanities piled up. Just some days ago a new video was published on Twitter, about a black woman who had thrown food at a white woman, saying that "white people are inferior".

Their idiocy and their viciousness are incredible. And they all fit into the same pattern.

Dr. Brooke Johnson joined the Office of Access and Institutional Excellence team as a Preceptor after obtaining her Ph.D. in chemistry from Princeton University ('23). Rice alum ('17) and former Rice track athlete, Dr. Johnson is passionate about the intersection of science and social justice and using her unique experiences to teach, support and inspire diverse students.
