A picture is worth a thousand words! Check how this start of amyloid fibrillation (cyan) in the vessel walls (dark blue) can lead to a 'leaky' blood-brain barrier. Accumulation of red blood cells (red) can compromise the function of these pyramidal neurons (orange). #NeuroCovid

Do view the LARGE photo! It is amazing. Well, or not. Depends on how much basic knowledge about biology you have.

The photo is phantastic. It explains, what we already knew from the very beginning of the pandemic. Only, we did not have such wonderful photos. Or we were not shown them. There were IMPRESSIVE pictures then, but Google let them disappear. I can not find them again, no matter how much I try. Google is a pest.

Already in spring 2020 we knew from Italy, that the virus spreads in blood vessels.

Forget about "blood-brain barrier", as that is hogwash! The key to all the damage throughout the whole body is that the virus attacks the inner surface of the blood vessels. The virus does not need to pass through the walls of the vessels. It is sufficient to destroy the inner surface. This way it can attack the brain already, without passing through the walls.

So, when we knew that the blood vessels are the place of war, it was absolutely clear, that this must cause brain damage. So from the beginning we warned about brain damage. Since already the most tiny blood vessels are affected, one more thing was absolutely sure: that we would not be able to detect it! Because the vessels and the areas are much too small to be recorded by MRTs or other devices.

IF we were able to detect damages, this already meant one thing: The damages are already so incredibly large, that our crappy and clumsy methods can detect them.

The photo by Danielle Beckman has one important disadvantage: one can only make it, when the patient is already dead. One can not make such a photo from a living body without doing any harm. And this is our problem: How can we detect damage without harming the patient? The answer is: WE CAN NOT!

So, from the very beginning it was clear:

The brain is affected.
The brain is damaged.
We can not detect the damage - unless it is much too late.
We can only detect huge damages.

But before large damages to the brain are detected, the damages are caused, and they grow. The only way to measure them would be by intelligence tests or other tests of the mental abilities. But that will take years until we can make these tests. And they are very vague.

So this is what we said:

THERE ARE DAMAGES DONE TO THE BRAIN!

Test the children, and after some time you will see the results. But then it will be too late.

DO SAVE THE CHILDREN!

How does the damage happen?

The blood flows through the vessels. But when the walls are attacked, the blood flow is hindered. The smaller the diameter of the vessels, the earlier the damage strikes.

This now is the worst thing that can happen: that the tiniest vessels are clogged, so that the tissue space they supply nutrition to, is harmed by loss of nutrition, and by piling up metabolic end products. In other words: organic damage to all organs, and especially to the brain, because that has the most delicate structures.

It is an ORGANIC damage. All the bloody idiots, professors or not, who claim that Covid causes psychic damage (and has no organic cause), they are bloody idiots, if not right-out criminals.

The damage caused by those idiots is an international disaster. One of their claims is that Covid patients must do "rehabilitation", i.e. do body work.

When blood vessels are clogged by the virus, BODY WORK means nothing more than that blood is used up in other places in the body, so that the brain gets even less blood supply. The damage to the brain tissue will get much worse, and it will be the more irreparable.

The psycho idiots world-wide caused and still cause a horrible damage to the Covid patients. It is an inexcusable crime.

Now let's look at the photo:

It is a very thin slice of brain tissue. The blue lines is the wall of a blood vessel. Within that vessel the tiny red things are red blood cells.

You know how tiny red blood cells are. They nearly fit through the blood vessels, so tiny in diameter are the blood vessels.

Now, when the inner surface of such a blood vessel is damaged, the blood cells no longer can flow through easily, but the whole thing gets clogged.

In the photo a cyan area is seen: "this start of amyloid fibrillation (cyan) in the vessel walls (dark blue) can lead to a 'leaky' blood-brain barrier."

There we have it: The blood vessels are wrecked, the surrounding tissue is wrecked. These areas are damaged, and the damage can not be repaired.

This is how the brain is damaged, this is how the whole body is damaged.

And it all is so damned simple, and so damned easy to see. And it was from the very beginning, 5 years ago.

COVID-19 leaves a lasting mark on the human brain
16 December 2025

COVID-19 does not just affect the respiratory system, but also significantly alters the brain in people who have fully recovered from the infectious disease, highlighting the long-term neurological impact of the virus.

Researchers from Griffith University's National Centre for Neuroimmunology and Emerging Disease (NCNED) used advanced MRI techniques to ascertain the neurological implications of COVID-19 compared with those who had never been infected.

The research provided compelling evidence that even in the absence of ongoing symptoms, prior infection with the virus could leave a measurable imprint on the brain.
Dr Kiran Thapaliya

Lead author, Dr Kiran Thapaliya, said: "We used multimodal MRI techniques to examine both grey and white matter brain regions critical for memory, cognition and overall brain health and found clear differences across all participant groups."

"The unique MRI approach identified significant alterations in brain neurochemicals, brain signal intensity, and tissue structure not only in individuals with Long COVID but also in those who considered themselves fully recovered," he said.

"The research also reported that altered brain tissue was associated with symptom severity in individuals with Long COVID, suggesting the virus may leave a silent, lasting effect on brain health."

These findings offer vital insights into how COVID 19 affects the central nervous system and may help explain the cognitive problems, such as memory and concentration, reported both shortly after infection and months or even years later.
Professor Sonya Marshall-Gradisnik

NCNED Director, Professor Sonya Marshall-Gradisnik, said: "The NCNED brings together a critical mass of talented researchers and clinicians committed to improving the lives of the patients."

"We are privileged to access state-of-the-art technologies which drive transformative scientific discoveries."

The research was funded by ME Research UK and the Stafford Fox Medical Research Foundation.

The paper 'Altered Brain Tissue Microstructure and Neurochemical Profiles in Long COVID and Recovered COVID-19 Individuals: A multimodal MRI Study' was published in Brain, Behavior, and Immunity – Health.

Abstract

Background

Diverse neurological symptoms are experienced by long COVID and COVID-19 recovered individuals. However, the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 in the brain of both groups are underexplored. This study aimed to investigate changes in tissue microstructural and brain neurochemical levels in long COVID and recovered COVID-19 patients compared to healthy controls.

Methods

We recruited 47 participants (long COVID = 19, COVID-recovered healthy controls = 12, and healthy controls without COVID-19 infection = 16) who underwent 3T MRI scans. We acquired T1 and T2 weighted images to assess myelin signal, diffusion weighted images to assess tissue microstructure, and magnetic resonance spectroscopy data to estimate brain neurochemical levels.

Findings

Our multimodal MRI study showed altered T1w/T2w signal between long COVID vs COVID-recovered-healthy controls, long COVID vs healthy controls, and COVID-recovered-healthy controls vs healthy controls. Furthermore, T1w/T2w signal intensity was significantly correlated with physical and cognitive function. Diffusion weighted imaging also showed altered tissue microstructure in these three group comparisons. However, brain neurochemicals were only significantly different between long COVID vs COVID-recovered-healthy controls.

Interpretation

This is one of the first studies to report different myelin signal and brain neurochemical changes between long COVID, COVID-recovered-healthy controls, and healthy controls without SARS-CoV-2 infection. These brain changes provide compelling evidence for the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 on brain function.

Exercise advice for long covid may be doing more harm than good

Exercise has been touted as a tool for managing and treating long covid, but much of the evidence has neglected one of its most debilitating symptoms: post-exertional malaise

By Alexandra Thompson

22 April 2026

A woman uses outdoor gym equipment

Resistance training has been examined as a possible way to relieve covid-19 symptoms

In the hunt for ways to alleviate long covid – a relatively new condition with no cure, experienced by millions of people worldwide after contracting covid-19 – exercise has been a bright spot. It's drug-free, it costs nothing and a handful of studies have suggested it boosts long covid recovery. But concern is growing that these studies aren't robust enough to support exercise as a treatment approach, reigniting a decade-long controversy over the use of exercise in addressing other conditions, such as chronic fatigue syndrome.

No way out - there is no way out...

There is no way out. I knew this from the very beginning. But since people are ALL so terrible stubborn and aggressive, I did not push this very loud in public.

Only in private talks I spoke about it. Because I do know the situation for over 50 years now. Because I witness an incredibly similar situation for over 50 years now.

There is no way out. It will not get better. Things will not get better, only different.

A 21 y/o woman is pleading in a Long Covid recovery group.

"Is there a way out of this?!"she screams.

Her mom passed away suddenly 3 years ago.

Now just 2 months after catching the virus she is utterly broken.

A single phone call completely wipes her out physically and mentally.
Crushing fatigue and anxiety take over everything.

This is what Covid still does TODAY.
It is not mild yet. Never has been.
It is still shattering young lives with devastating Long Covid and extreme post exertional malaise (PEM) from the smallest efforts.

The truth I tried let her know. And it's a harsh reality. One I still have been trying to accept myself for over 6+ years of Long Covid.
"There is no way out," I explained. "Anyone who claims there is a way out is living in extreme denial or is trying to sell you a scam." 😭💔
