Mastering SEPTLE

Some days ago by accident I found these 3 words to be quite good:

WASHING
MUSTARD
BLOCKER

With 7 letters per guess word, we have a maximum of 7, 14, 21 letters in 1,2,3 guesses.

These 3 words have a double A, a double S, and a double R. We do not get the maximum, but only 18 letters - which still quite good.

Would be interesting to find other filters like this. It does not catch the F and the P, which is a big disadvantage.

Taking a 4th. word PUFFERS would catch only 2 more letters, which is very disappointing. But 18 letters with 3 guesses the filter is a good start.

Mastering SEPTLE: Impressive statistics with new testwords

Because of some quirks in the browser I had to delete all cookies. So this screenshot gives an overview of the last days, after I had found a new set of testwords for the 7-er SEPTLE and for the 6-er SEPTLE:

The new words are

MUSTARD
WASHING
BLOCKER  S R A  3 doubles in  21 letters

PERILS
CHALKY
BOUNDS   S      1 double  in  18 letters

The first set handles 18 letters, and the second one handles 17 letters, which actually is quite good.

The statistics show that throwing in 3 testwords of course does not lead to a find within the first 3 tries, but to a correct finding in about half of the cases with the fourth guess, and with 3 quarters with the fifth guess. I consider that quite impressive.

A better choice, without any doubles, gives the maximum: 18 letters in 3 words:

MONGER
STUPID
CHALKY

The statistics is piling up. The filter with three test words

   MUSTARD
   BLOCKER
   WASHING

is quite effective.
