United Airlines is using dynamic pricing
This plane ticket says it's $752. Once you out in the travelers information it says
"Based on traveler information provided, the price of your ticket has changed"
The price went from $752.20 -> $1,156.20
United see the trackers age was older so automatically drastically increased the ticket price
Airlines started holding 'separate fare buckets' for different passenger categories. So now for the same seat, you can be sorted into age categories and have your price go up based on what United Airlines says their inventory is for each seat category
This is dynamic pricing adjustments
It's only going to get worse if we let this continue

Dynamic pricing is simply charging as much as a business feels the customer can afford and how badly they want to buy or use the product or service.
Grandma going to see family they expect to be willing to pay a ton.
This should be banned nationwide for any product or service.

Yup I tried to book tickets at work and the price was 2x what it normally is.
I was like da fuq is this nonsense. I then went back to my place and it was half what it was at work.
I work in a nice area but that's not a reason to price gouge me.
People need to use the algorithm against them for doing this shit and they'll learn real quick.
